HIGHLIGHTS [DESTAQUES]

Kailua Kona boasts perfect weather, beautiful beaches, and tons of outdoor activities. This makes Kona the most popular destination on the Big Island,

At 14,000 feet, Mauna Kea volcano  is one of the most impressive sights in Hawaii. You’ll need 4WD to reach the summit (sunset is beautiful) or book a tour that includes sunset at the summit and then star gazing at the visitor’s center.

Since the sun always sets in the west, the Kona (west) coast of the island is the place to see sunsets. Seeing the sun set below the ocean is one of the most spectacular parts of the day.

Have fun! Participate in the events leading up to the race-Just as you would decorate a float and throw beads to the crowd in Mardi Gras, so you should enjoy the parade, put your kids in the keiki biatholon and consider doing the super fun Underpants run.
