R A A M - RACE ACROSS AMERICA
RAAM CREW & TEAM MANAGEMENT
The Ride of a Lifetime.
RAAM is not just a race. It’s a legendary journey. A battle across 3,000 miles, 12 states, 170,000+ feet of elevation gain — all against the clock. Since 1982, RAAM has stood as one of the toughest endurance events on the planet. Unlike the Tour de France, RAAM is a single-stage, coast-to-coast challenge with no rest days, no stages, and no second chances. From Oceanside, California, to Annapolis, Maryland, the terrain is brutal, the sleep is scarce, and the pressure is unrelenting.
RAAM is raw. Unfiltered. Real. Riders face deserts, mountains, plains, humidity, thunderstorms, and the haunting silence of midnight roads. With cutoffs that demand non-stop movement, it's not a question of if you'll suffer — but how far you'll go before your limits break.

Why every RAAM cyclist needs a crew — and a manager
Here's the hard truth: no one does RAAM alone.
Behind every successful rider is a world-class crew. Navigators, nutritionists, mechanics, motivators — and above all, a strategic, battle-tested Team Manager. The Team Manager is the brain of your RAAM mission. They oversee logistics, schedule rotations, monitor your physical and mental condition, adapt to weather, reroute in emergencies, and make split-second decisions that can define the outcome of your race. Without a strong manager, RAAM becomes chaos. Fatigue sets in. Nutrition slips. Navigation errors waste hours. Communication breaks down. And just like that, months of training dissolve in the middle of the Kansas plains.
That’s why 7sherpas offers elite-level RAAM support — led by experienced managers who’ve been in the trenches.

A strong team don’t just admire the race — they live it.

The Road to Glory, One State at a Time
RAAM crosses 12 states — from California's deserts to Colorado's towering peaks, through Kansas' endless plains and into the steep, twisting climbs of Appalachia. Riders battle altitude, heat, wind, and exhaustion, while chasing fleeting moments of beauty: sunrise in the desert, fog in the mountains, quiet farm roads. It’s not just a route — it’s a war of endurance, with glory waiting only for those who survive every mile.
