WORLD TIME TRIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
RAAM TRAINING CAMP

October 26 – November 1, 2026
Oceanside & Borrego Springs, CA

An Immersive Lifetime Endurance Experience

If you are preparing for Race Across America (RAAM), this is for you and your team. A strategic immersion into endurance, terrain, pacing, and mental resilience — designed specifically for athletes targeting ultra-distance performance.

The 7sherpas WTTC Training Camp is structured around the World Time Trial Championships race weekend (October 30 & November 1, 2026) and built as a real-world simulation of RAAM demands: long desert miles, sustained climbing, time-trial pacing, heat management, among others.

Throughout the week, athletes will ride high desert roads that demand steady output and focus. They will tackle sustained climbs such as Palomar, where energy management becomes critical long before the summit. Technical descents will require control and clarity under fatigue. Open, exposed terrain will challenge wind management and pacing discipline.  This is where preparation stops being theoretical.

The 6-12-24 Hour World Time Trial Championships

The WTTC is a flagship endurance event held each autumn in Borrego Springs, California, where ultracyclists from around the globe come to test themselves in a pure distance challenge against the clock in the toughest possible format: sustained time-based racing over 6-hour, 12-hour, and full 24-hour durations on a closed loop course.

The course consists of a rolling 18-mile loop with minimal elevation change, accompanied by a shorter finishing loop for late-race miles, optimized by local road crews to ensure smooth surface conditions.

The WTTC is more than just a race; it is an endurance ritual where pacing strategy, nutrition execution, and crew coordination become preeminent. Racers ride under strict non-drafting rules, so every mile is earned through individual effort.

The 24-hour format is especially significant for riders targeting a race like Race Across America (RAAM) because it closely mirrors the extended operating demands. The 12-hour version serves as both its own championship and as a gateway distance for athletes building toward the full 24-hour effort.

In essence, the WTTC is a proving ground — it is where the global ultra-endurance community gathers, where endurance cycling transcends the clock and becomes a test of persistence, strategy, and resilience.
